		<description>Jan,
In many respects, you answered your own first question in the affirmative on whether benefits of mobile phones can be realized without owning the phone. Your second question though, &quot; How will the adoption of multiple-SIM card devices change over time - and how might this affect the practices around mobile money services?&quot;, is ripe for discussion. For me, it raises a few supporting questions:
1) With multiple SIM possibilities, will we see some SIMs dedicated to particular services? When I think about initiatives like the Wholesale Application Community, I wonder if there is room for a mobile ASP model where applications can be written by developers for multiple carriers and the consumer could interact with applications via the unique ID of one SIM that remains constant while other SIMs are used for accessing specific carriers.
2) I also think about where initiatives like MULTOS, the SIM operating system that can host multiple partitioned and secured apps on the SIM itself, could play in this evolving environment.

Great question Jan and well worth further investigation.
